Mike Cavataio Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by Vista Chamber of Commerce and Vista Education Foundation
Last month, the Vista Chamber of Commerce and Vista Education Foundation posthumously presented Mike Cavataio with its Lifetime Achievement Award. Our heartfelt congratulations go out to his family. Mike spent nine years working at Regents Bank, where he served as Executive Vice President and Regional Manager for our Vista office, before he passed away in April 2013.
“Mike was Mr. Vista,” said Brad Peterson, Vista Education Foundation president. “He was involved in everything.” Mr. Peterson made his remarks at the Heroes of Vista event, held at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, where Mike was honored on April 12 with the award, which his family accepted on his behalf.
Mike served as chair and also as a member of the board of directors for the Vista Chamber of Commerce and on the board of directors for Vista Community Clinic. He supported Vista Village Association, Vista Economic Development Association, Vistans ROC (Revitalizing Our Community), North County Lifeline, Vista Sunrise Kiwanis and Special Olympics. He also participated in community service projects through North Coast Church.
If you knew Mike and would like to share, please tell us how Mike was a hero to you.
