Steve began his banking career with City National Bank at its Beverly Hills Headquarters in 1984 where he became a Vice President.  In 1991 he joined Sanwa Bank as Vice President & Team Leader in the Downey Regional Office.  In 1995 he joined Mellon First Business Bank where he became one of three team leaders in the downtown Los Angeles Headquarters Office.  Steve was subsequently appointed Regional Vice President of the Mellon 1st Business Bank Inland Empire Commercial Office, which he opened de novo in Ontario in 2002.  Steve and his team grew the office from virtually no loans or deposits to just over $200,000,000 in loans and deposits in six years.

After US Bank acquired Mellon 1st Business Bank in June of 2008, Steve joined Citizens Business Bank as the initial manager of the headquarters’ Commercial Banking Group, where he grew combined loans and deposits to just under $135,000,000 in four years.

Steve is a 1984 graduate of the University of Texas where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.  Additionally, Steve has completed numerous professional development and continuing education courses related to real estate and the financial services industry over the years.  Steve has been a part time instructor in Financial Statement Analysis at the UCLA Extension School.

Steve is a past Board member of the Aliso Pico Business Support Group, a non-profit tasked with raising funds to assist the recreational activities and to oversee the building and operation of a recreation center in East LA.  Steve is currently serving as the Treasurer of his church where he oversees a budget in excess of $1,200,000.  Steve was a charter member and co-founder of the Inland Empire Chapter of the City of Hope.  Steve currently serves as a board member of the San Gabriel Valley Counsel of the Boy Scouts of America.

Steve is married and raised his four children with his wife Lori in Glendora, CA.  Two of his children are currently enrolled at UC Santa Barbara and UC Berkley.  In his spare time, Steve enjoys coaching his children in football, soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball, as well as other outdoor activities including water skiing and backpacking.
