Sr. Vice President Tom Ivory exudes the energy and enthusiasm of a man that is in his first week running a bank office. What’s really impressive is when you learn that he’s been in local bank leadership positions for over 25 years. He is an experienced professional with contagious enthusiasm for helping businesses prosper and his responsibilities of managing the Regents Bank El Cajon Office.
Born in Washington D.C. as one of nine children, Tom grew up in New Jersey but attended school near Greenwich Village in New York City for a number of years. A few years into their marriage, Tom’s wife visited a friend that lived in La Jolla, CA and it wasn’t too long after that visit that the Ivory family moved to San Diego in 1976. Tom and his bride are very happy living in El Cajon; they’ve been happily married for 36 years and are the proud parents of two children.
When the bank Tom was working for prior to Regents ceased operations, he was approached by Regents management and joined forces with them in 2009. He had developed a short list of banks that he would consider working for, and seriously considered starting a new bank. However, after meeting with the senior management team at Regents, Tom decided that his experience and philosophy were a perfect match. Tom said he joined Regents Bank for 3 main reasons:

Tom sums up his personal banking philosophy when he says, “We’re out to develop relationships. We want to understand a business as it grows. It’s not about the bank, it’s about the relationship.”
Tom’s door is always open and he enjoys nothing more than getting to meet with a business owner and understand what that business needs to grow, and then create a solution to help that happen. With that philosophy it’s easy to see why Tom and Regents Bank El Cajon have a 100% retention rate of maintaining their business banking accounts.
